Thank you for your request dated today, made under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
In reply, You have requested for Digital TIN ID.
The Digital TIN ID is part of the BIR's Online Registration and Update System (ORUS), where individuals can get a TIN number or update their information. One can access the services by visiting orus.bir.gov.ph. Simply follow the step-by-step guide and provide the required information.
Step 1: Log-in to your ORUS account.
Use the email address that you provided during your registration with the BIR. If your email address is not updated, submit BIR Form S1905 via email to the Revenue District Office (RDO) where you are registered or through the BIR’s Taxpayer Registration Related Application (TRRA) Portal, which is accessible at the BIR Website (www.bir.gov.ph) under the eServices section. Physical visit is not required.
Step 2: Once logged-in in ORUS, click View your Digital TIN ID button under the Get your Digital TIN ID menu.
Step 3: Click the ADD PHOTO button for the uploading of your picture with the following specifications:
- Size: 1x1 photo ID with white background and without border, taken not later that six (6) months to reflect current appearance.
- Appearance: Photo must be taken in front facing the camera directly, with both ears visible and with neutral expression or smile not showing the teeth.
Step 4: Check if the information displayed is correct and updated.
Step 5: Click Generate Digital TIN ID if information displayed is correct and updated.
Once generated, the Digital TIN ID will be accessible by clicking the View your Digital TIN ID link or the TIN ID button in the navigation page.
Taxpayer will only be able to generate a new/updated Digital TIN ID thirty (30) days from the last TIN ID generation. The Digital TIN ID may be downloaded by clicking the DOWNLOAD DIGITAL TIN ID button.
Please note that Account creation in ORUS is required in order to apply for a Digital TIN ID.
For more information on the use and acceptance of the Digital TIN ID, please refer to Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 120-2023 posted on the BIR Website (www.bir.gov.ph).
Your right to request a review
If you are dissatisfied with our response to your FOI request, you have the option to request an internal review. To initiate this process, kindly submit your written appeal for review addressed to [insert name of Secretary and postal/e-mail address]. Please provide a detailed explanation of your dissatisfaction with our response within 15 calendar days from the date of receiving this response. We will conduct the review and communicate the outcome within 30 calendar days from the receipt of your review request.
Should you remain unsatisfied with the review outcome, you retain the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
