Dear eFOI user,
Thank you for your request dated 26 October 2025, made under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
You have requested information regarding your credit data.
I am pleased to inform you that your FOI request has been partially approved.
1) Confirmation of whether you have an existing credit record in the CIC database:
To confirm whether you have an existing credit record in the CIC database, you may get your credit report through the following:
Option A: Via the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) thru Accessing Entity (AE) program (credit report only)
You may request your credit report via online or walk-in from lenders participating in the D2C program. Check which AEs provide CIC Credit Reports here: www.creditinfo.gov.ph/get-your-credit-report
For the specific requirements and steps on how to get a copy of your credit report via D2C, you may directly reach out to your chosen AE.
Option B: CIBI Information Inc. (with credit score)
Download the Lista PH app and pay the ₱199 credit score service fee. For inquiries or concerns with the app, you may email CIBI directly at [email protected], or message Lista PH through their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/ListaPhilippines.
Option C: CRIF Philippines (with credit score)
Send an email to CRIF at [email protected] to request your credit report (with credit score).
2. Possible reasons why your credit score may appear as 0 in partner credit bureaus. (e.g., CIBI).
To clarify, the CIC does not provide credit scores. Credit scoring is a value-added credit information service being provided by CIC’s accredited special accessing entities (SAEs).
For more information on how your credit score is computed, you may coordinate with the concerned SAE directly (details provided above).
3. Steps or requirements to update or verify your credit information if it is incomplete, missing or outdated.
Please be informed that the CIC cannot unilaterally change or alter the credit data of the borrowers. The CIC does not have personal or direct knowledge of the accuracy of the data reported and primarily relies on the Submitting Entity (SE) and the borrower’s feedback, through filing of disputes, to resolve these issues properly. Considering that credit facilities such as loans are contractual agreements, the status of their terms and performance is best determined by the parties’ privy to the transaction. Under its authority, the CIC may only direct the submission of the accurate or updated credit data upon a determination of the validity of the claim of the Disputer.
Therefore, it is advised that you should first acquire a credit report in order to determine if there are any erroneous, misleading, incorrect, or outdated credit information contained therein.
Should any erroneous, misleading, incorrect, or outdated credit information appear in your credit report, you may file a dispute through the Enhanced Online Dispute Resolution System (“EODRS”) in accordance with CIC Circular No. 2019-01. Through EODRS, the CIC serves as a conduit between the parties to evaluate the validity of the dispute and work toward its resolution. You may ask your credit report provider the 14-digit TRN to be able to file through the EODRS.
