Purpose: Personal, to renew passport
Tracking no: #DFA-282619816330
Hi! I'd like to request a clarification on the subject. I will write a bit of background before I ask my questions. I am a natural born Philippine citizen to a Filipino mom and a USA father. My mother did not get her naturalization to usa until 2004, when I was around 8 years old. I am a USA citizen holder as well. In 2023, I went to the dfa near my city to renew my passport. They told me I needed an identity certificate, along with my 2 passports. I need to know the following: 1.) Do I still need to get the identification certificate, even though I recently have my National ID and my psa Birth certificate that says I was born here in Philippines? 2.) Is my National ID sufficient to replace a Identification certificate? Thank you for taking the time to response. I hope to go back home within this year.
