Dear eFOI user,
Thank you for your request dated yesterday, made under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
You have requested the Barangay Certificate of No Objection
I am pleased to inform you that your FOI request has been approved.
The processing time for acquiring a Barangay Certificate of No Objection depends on the complexity of the transaction. Under the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 (Republic Act No. 11032), the following timeframes apply:
- Simple transactions – Must be completed within three (3) working days. A Barangay Certificate of No Objection usually falls under this category.
- Complex transactions – Must be completed within seven (7) working days if further verification or additional requirements are needed.
While a Barangay Certificate of No Objection is typically considered a simple transaction, certain circumstances may reclassify it as a complex transaction, thereby extending the processing time. We recommend reaching out to the local barangay office directly to confirm specific requirements and processing timelines.
