Good Day! I am a 5th year architecture student. I am currently conducting my undergraduate research entitled, " HERICON: A MIXED USE RECREATIONAL-OFFICE-COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT, INTEGRATED WITH CULTURAL MULTI-PURPOSE HUB, CONTEMPORARY VERNACULAR ARCHITECTURE FOSTERING TAGUIG'S DIVERSITY IN CULTURE AS AID TO TOURISM AND ECONOMY, TAGUIG CITY." I would like to request access to the following information from the Department of Tourism for research purposes: 1. Tourist Turnover and Visitor statistics (City-level Data): Latest available data (preferably 2014-2024) on tourist arrivals or visitor volumes per city in the Philippines. Breakdown by foreign, domestic, and overseas Filipino travelers, if available. Include total overnight stays, length of stay, and occupancy rates if recorded. 2. Cultural and Heritage Promotion Data: List of cities and municipalities recognized for their cultural or heritage significance, including sites registered under national or local heritage programs. Any assessment, ranking or evaluation of tourism promotion efforts or visibility (e.g., inclusion in DOT promotional campaigns, cultural festivals or tourism circuits). If available, information identifying culturally rich cities or destinations that receives lower tourist traffic or promotional support. Purpose of Request: This information will be used for an academic research project analyzing the relationship between cultural value, tourism promotion, and visitor distribution in Philippine cities.
