Greetings! I am Patrick T. Rodriguez, a BS Hospitality Management student from Treston International College, and I am writing to particularly request for the necessary information/documents that could further support our ongoing research study regarding the tourism of Polillo Islands. Specifically, may I have the following information: 1) Most recent tourist stay record in Polillo islands 2) Sustainable tourism challenges that Polillo islands is currently facing - records of waste management, energy and resource consumption, and water consumption. 3) Number of DOT-accredited tourism and hospitality establishments in Polillo Islands 4) Number of DOT-accredited tour guides in Polillo Islands 5) Number of Indigenous communities within Polillo islands 6) Economic standing data of Polillo Islands in terms of tourism All abovementioned requests will be significant in accomplishing our working paper about the development of a sustainable tourism policy framework for Polillo Islands. Dear FOI Officer, Greetings! The said information and documents requested are as follows: 1. Most recent tourist stay record (overnight travelers) in Polillo Islands (2023-2024 data) 2. Sustainable tourism challenges that Polillo Islands is currently facing - records concerning waste and pollution management, energy, water, and resource consumption (2022-2024 data). 3. Number of DOT-accredited tourism and hospitality establishments (restaurants, hotels, and travel agencies) - August 2024 and September 2024 data. 4. Number of DOT-accredited Tour Guides in Polillo Islands and their ethnicity or place of residence (August and September 2024 data) 5. Number of Indigenous communities in Polillo Islands (2024 data) 6. Economic standing data/performance of Polillo Islands in terms of Tourism (2023 and 2024 data) The abovementioned request will bring a significant contribution in accomplishing our research paper entitled: "Developing a Sustainable Tourism Policy Framework for Polillo Islands: Balancing Economic Growth, Environmental Protection, and Community Well-being." The research aims to provide Polillo Islands with a sound and attractive sustainable tourism policy framework for the archipelago's tourism development. The proposed sustainable tourism policy inputs of the researchers shall espouse in the adoption of eco-friendly initiatives in Polillo Islands, positioning them for a green tourism destination experience while contributing to UNWTO's Sustainable Development Goals.
