I am Mark Haze Torrejas, a student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, specializing in Land and Water Resources Engineering, at the University of the Philippines Los Banos. As part of the requirements of my degree, I am currently working on my undergraduate thesis. My research focuses on conducting a comparative study of flood inundation mapping applied to Cagayan De Oro River Basin. With this, I would like to formally request information regarding the River Channel Modifications that have been implemented in Cagayan De Oro River.

We have received your request on River Channel Modifications on Cagayan De Oro River, dated Jan. 8, 2025.
While our primary objective is to provide information whenever possible, we regret to inform you that the requested information is not available at this Office. As per verification with the DPWH Regional Office X - Planning and Design Division, based on both study and actual observation, no river rechanneling of the CDEO River has been conducted. Only flood control  structures have been implemented.
