I am a first year student currently enrolled in the course Data and Digital Intelligence. As part of a course requirement, we are tasked with developing a dashboard, and to do so, I would like to request access to the following data under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act: Requested Data: 1. UPCAT Passers (UP Diliman) from 2019 to 2023, categorized by: -Public high schools (with Region) -Science high schools (with Region) -Private high schools (with Region) 2. Number of UPCAT Applicants for UP Diliman from 2019-2023, categorized by: -School Type (Public, Science, Private) -Region 3. Number of Freshman Enrollees in UP Diliman from 2019-2023, who qualified through UPCAT, categorized by: -School Type (Public, Science, Private) -Region — If possible, I would appreciate receiving the data in Excel format for ease of analysis. Purpose of Request: The data will be used to analyze the distribution of UPCAT passers and enrollees in UP Diliman based on their high school backgrounds and regional representation. This project aims to provide insights into trends in access to UP education, which will be presented in a dashboard as part of the course requirement for Data and Digital Intelligence. I understand that some information may be subject to data privacy regulations. If any adjustments need to be made to comply with such policies, I am open to alternative data formats or summaries that can still fulfill the project’s objectives. Please let me know if there are any required forms for this request. I would appreciate any updates on the expected timeline for processing. Thank you for your time and assistance. Thank you for your request dated Feb. 11, 2025, made under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

We have received your request on FLCD, February 11, 2025. We will respond and process your request on or before March 4, 2025, in compliance with the Executive Order’s implementing rules and regulations.

However, we can only reply to the request related to UP Diliman which is no. 3 in your FOI request - Number of Freshman Enrollees in UP Diliman from 2019-2023, who qualified through UPCAT.

Thank you for your request dated Feb. 11, 2025, made under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You have requested the number of UPCAT passers from 2016 to the present.

I am pleased to inform you that your FOI request has been approved. Kindly check your email for a copy of the information you have requested. However, please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you requested. We can only provide the Number of Freshman Enrollees in UP Diliman from 2019-2023, who qualified through UPCAT. For the other data on UPCAT applicants and passers, may we refer you to the UP System Office of Admissions https://upcat.up.edu.ph/

Your right to request a review

If you are dissatisfied with our response to your FOI request, you have the option to request an internal review.
