Hi! I would like to request about the ff:

1. The actual number of participants or investors when the government offers Retail Treasury Bonds.

2.Are we able to classify these investors according to income level or from what industries they belong to?
3. What efforts have been taken to make the "regular" Filipino - non-participant, not able to reach college level or not in anyway affiliated to the finance or accounting or economic industry to know about investing in the treasury bonds released by the government, aware and perhaps participate in this undertaking?
4. How successful were they?

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.

Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested for as some of the data are not collected by the Bureau.

Specifically:

1. The actual number of participants or investors when the government offers Retail Treasury Bonds.
- see attached file

2.Are we able to classify these investors according to income level or from what industries they belong to?
- Not at the moment

3. What efforts have been taken to make the "regular" Filipino - non-participant, not able to reach college level or not in anyway affiliated to the finance or accounting or economic industry to know about investing in the treasury bonds released by the government, aware and perhaps participate in this undertaking?
- The Bureau has conducted road shows in key cities across the country to better inform investors and the public in general. Mass and social media campaigns have also been utilized to reach a wider audience (print and TV ads, FB/Twitter posts).

- Investor participation depends heavily on the prevailing financial market environment. As proof of the Bureau's efforts to improve individual investor participation, the last RTB issuance had a 19.26% individual investor share, up from 13.23% in the preceding issuance.
