Dear Dominic Alfred Besa,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jun 15, 2022 02:11:54 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for FOI on number of Covid cases nationwide.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved.

Below are the responses on your requests

*Number of Covid cases from May 2 to June 10, 2022
- The data for the COVID-19 cases is known as the COVID-19 Data Drop of the COVID Tracker. Visit the DOH COVID tracker for the number of COVID-19 cases that is now accessible at the website: https://www.doh.gov.ph/covid19tracker

You may also visit the COVID-19 Case Bulletin at https://doh.gov.ph/bulletin

*Percent of vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals out of these cases
- The current surveillance system does not capture the vaccination status of the reported COVID-19 cases hence we do not have that particular data.

*Method of research used to come up with the data of these Covid cases you show to media on daily or weekly basis
- The data and figures reported are the output of the current surveillance system that begin with laboratory submissions of positive cases. Cases undergo data processing and quality checks before public reporting (i.e. deduplication, validation). Information on cases such as health outcomes (i.e. Active, Deceased, Recovered) are also constantly validated.

Thank you
