Thank you for your request dated Apr 15, 2022 04:04:26 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for Number of Tourist Patient in the Philippines and their symptoms.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested.

We would like to inform you that we aforementioned data is not yet available. At present based on the European Union funded industry roadmap published by the Board of Investment (BOI) together with the Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Tourism (DOT), 2% of tourist arrivals in the Philippines are identified as medical tourists in 2012. The National Technical Working group on Medical Travel and Wellness Tourism (NTWG-MTWT) is currently planning to develop mechanisms/systems to gather these data.

Thank you
