I would like to humbly request for the number of online sellers situated in the Luzon area. I'm a college student and currently developing a type of packaging and all information that would be provided to me will be used for educational purposes only.

Dear Christine Faith Rojo,

We refer to your letter of Nov 24, 2022 05:53:31 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for The number of DTI-registered online sellers in Luzon.

In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query.

Please be informed that "registered seller" is different from "registered Business Name".  All we can provide is the number of registered Business Names for sole proprietorship.

Also, DTI Business Name registration is not a permit or license to engage in any type of business since the permit to operate is issued by the Business Permit and Licensing Office of the concerned LGU.

Thus, if you are looking for the actual number and details of operating businesses, you may inquire with all the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) of the concerned LGUs since they are the ones who issue a business permit to operate.

And also kindly note that we cannot identify if a business name is classified as small, medium or large business due to reason that we don't require the capitalization in the registration of business name.
