November 23, 2022 Dear MARY JANE CALDERON, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Nov 21, 2022 12:51:11 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Total population of Registered Online Sellers in Tandag City. Response to your request Please be informed that only sole proprietorships are registered with DTI, hence not all operating businesses may have been registered with DTI. Also, kindly be advised that business name registration with the DTI is NOT a permit or a license to engage in any kind of business and that the adoption of the Philippine Standard Industrial Classification (PSIC) in business name registration is solely for the purpose of classifying the primary business activities (product/s handled or service/s rendered) of those business names registered with the DTI. It is not intended to limit the activities of a business. Similarly, please note that business name registration in DTI does not classify an enterprise as micro, small, medium or large as we do not require the capitalization in the registration. Any business, however, needs to be registered with the Local Government Unit - Business Permit and Licensing Office where the business is located (business address). In this context, we suggest that you contact the Local Government Unit - Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) of Tandag City for proper assistance. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to <Sec. Alfredo E.
