Dear CHED,
Warm liberating greetings!
We are currently preparing our students for local and international internship. May we get any updates with SIPP and SIAP? Are these programs still under suspension or are HEIs now allowed to bring their students abroad for internship? If yes, may we know the most updated SIPP/SIAP guidelines?

Your Request

You asked for SIAP (Internship Abroad) and SIPP (Local Internship) Inquiries for CHED.

Response to Request

The Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) as of this writing is currently suspended. 

Please be informed that the said suspension of SIAP per the Memorandum from the Office of the Chairperson dated July 1, 2020, is still in effect. However, the Commission has convened an initial discussion with the Inter-Agency Technical Working Group to study the probability of lifting the SIAP temporary suspension.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to chairperson@ched.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
