Dear Viann Fornolles,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Sep 09, 2019 02:24:24 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
You asked for Basis of deducting Absences from monthly salary.
Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of Handbook on Worker's Statutory Monetary Benefits 2019 Edition. Please refer to pages 6 and 7 of the said document.

To deduce your daily rate, please be guided by this formula:
Daily Rate = Monthly salary x 12 /Estimated Equivalent Monthly Rate (EEMR)
Depending on your company policy, the EEMR varies as 365, 393.80, 313, and 261. The determination of the correct EEMR is crucial in arriving at the correct computation of your Daily rate. Your HR is in the position to declare your company’s EEMR.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to <Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III, 7/F DOLE Central office, Muralla St. cor. Gen. luna St., Intramuros, Manila>. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
