You requested for the following information: “(1) Number of Social Workers in the Philippines and (2) Number of Social Workers in the Bicol Region.”

Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request.

Under Republic Act 4373, as amended (An Act to Regulate the Practice of Social Work and the Operation of Social Work Agencies in the Philippines and For Other Purposes), social workers are licensed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). Thus, it is the PRC that is mandated to keep the data you requested. You may wish to direct your request to the PRC by submitting a request to the PRC via this portal.
