Dear Ms. Pastrana:

You requested for the following:
“(1) Number of street families in Quezon City,
“(2) DSWD’s method/s in approaching street families,
“(3) Programs focusing on street families and the known/recorded benefits these programs have,
“(4) Number of street families under each program,
“(5) Other government agencies and/or NGOs that DSWD is in partnership with and
“(6) Situationer on the conditions of the street families before and after entering the program.”

Unfortunately, the DSWD can only provide answers to some of the requests, specifically nos. (2), (3), (4) and (5), and we have asked the proper DSWD offices to prepare the information you requested.

As to nos. (1) and (6), dealing with street families and informal settlers has been devolved to local government units. Thus, the Quezon City LGU may have the data you need, and you may wish to direct your queries to the Quezon City LGU.

Very truly yours,

Carlo Florendo C. Castro
