Dear MS. KRIZIA C. CABATINGAN,

This refers to your eFOI request received on 23 September 2021 via the eFOI portal of the Home Development Mutual Fund (Fund) wherein you asked for the following information:

1.	Total housing Expenditure and Percent Distribution, Rent/Rental Value of House and Lot and House Maintenance and Minor Repairs:

a.	in Cagayan de Oro (CDO) from 2015-2020; and
b.	per Barangay in CDO

2.	Total and Average Annual Family Income and Expenditure by Income Class in CDO from 2015-2020

3.	Number of People Financing Housing through Pag-IBIG Loans in CDO from 2015-2020, classified into Low Cost, Medium and High-End Home Financing

4.	Total and Average Annual Family Income of People Financing through Loans by Income Class in CDO from 2015-2020:
a.	Under 40,000
b.	40,000-59,999
c.	60,000-99,999
d.	100,000-249,999
e.	250,000-499,999
f.	500,000 and over

We deemed it proper to raise this matter to the Operating Units Concerned – the Housing Operations Support Unit (HOSU) and Corporate Planning Department (CorPlan).

In response to your request, please find attached file from our CorPlan containing data/information on the CDO Number of Housing Loan Borrowers by Package Mix (Socialized Housing, Low-Cost Housing, Medium Cost, and Open Market).

Meanwhile, our HOSU advised us that all other requested data is most likely within the purview of and may possibly be better addressed by the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB). Further, kindly note that the Fund does not consider the annual family income of a borrower for home financing. In the determination of the capacity to pay, it is the Gross Monthly Income of the individual borrower that the Fund considers.

Thank you.

Very truly yours,

ATTY. JOSE ROBERTO F. PO
Department Manager III, Legal Department and
Deputy Compliance Officer
