Dear MS. MARIA SHERLIE B. DELOS REYES,

This refers to your eFOI request received on 21 September 2021 sent via the eFOI portal of the Home Development Mutual Fund (Fund) wherein you asked if the Fund has any condonation programs for members who have outstanding loans and how to avail of it. However, you did not specify if the loan is housing or member services related.

We took the liberty of inquiring for the Fund’s condonation programs, both for Housing and Provident-related issuances to the operating unit concerned – the Research and Development Department (RDD). Our RDD informed us that the Fund does not have any penalty condonation for Member Services Loans.

Meanwhile, for Housing Loans, the Pag-IBIG Fund Circular No. 386 (Amended Guidelines on the Condonation of Penalties and Additional Interest of Delinquent Housing Loan Accounts) provides that all penalties of delinquent housing loan accounts and additional interest of delinquent housing loan accounts under two-interest rate structure shall be condoned in case of full payment of housing loan obligations and full updating of arrearages.

The requirements for the Condonation of Penalties and Additional Interest of Delinquent Housing Loan Accounts are posted in the Pag-IBIG Fund website.

Thank you.

Very truly yours,

ATTY. JOSE ROBERTO F. PO
