This is in relation to a successful information request regarding eFOI Requests Statistics with ID #PCOO-488074911383 made on November 26, 2019.

In line with my ongoing research, I wish to request the following data from your good office, which are important for me to come up with important analyses.
1. Most recent data available on eFOI Requests Statistics found in < http://bit.ly/efoiportalstatspublic>.
2. A short note on "closed transactions" by the manner the term was used in Sheet 9.
3. Data on reasons for denial and purpose of request (2016-2019).

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we had difficulty obtaining the information you requested due to the imposition of Enhanced Community Quarantine and other work limitations associated with the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

You asked for Updated eFOI Requests Statistics.

Response to Request

Please be advised that your FOI request is tagged as SUCCESSFUL.

As of 4 August 2020, a total of 36,304 requests for information were lodged in the eFOI Portal. You may access the list eFOI requests covering the period of 25 November 2016 to 4 August 2020 through this link: <http://bit.ly/efoiportalstatspublic>. 

The data includes request details such as the title and coverage of requested information; date created and updated; status per request; and reasons for denial (if applicable).

Reasons for the denial are based on the following grounds: 
- wrong agency (i.e. the agency does not hold the information)
- Invalid requests or requests not considered as FOI request (complaint, vexatious requests, requests for frontline services); and
- Includes under the list of Exceptions to Executive Order No. 2, s. 2016

Further, in response to your clarification on the “Closed” status, please be advised that a request will be automatically tagged as “Closed” if the requesting party failed to respond or was not able to provide sufficient reply to the clarification of the agency within 60 calendar days.
