Dear Maria Regina Arriero,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Apr 16, 2018 12:23:18 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Sample Court Transcripts of Drug Cases Filed against Foreigners.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. Please be informed that Transcript of Stenographic Notes (TSN) on drug cases involving foreigners or any other accused for that matter are available in the courts where the cases are pending or decided.

PDEA gets hold of TSNs only in exceptional circumstances after proper request with the courts. These TSNs are more often than not utilized in aid of formulating intelligible motions or manifestations when there is a need for PDEA to file one. Nevertheless, PDEA does not retain in its custody copy of TSNs involving foreigners as a matter of course.

Please be advised then that you may file your request with the courts handling drug cases. They have the complete set of TSNs from the commencement of the proceeding until the termination of the case.

Your right to request a review.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to lps@pdea.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).

Thank you.

Respectfully,

Atty. Czareanah DG Aquino-Isidro
