Currently, the projects related to microbiota studies among Filipinos for health applications:

 1.  Influences of Maternal Dietary Intake and Nutritional Status on the Microbiological and Chemical Composition of Breast Milk form Selected Lactating Filipino Women at 0 to 4 Months Postpartum 
by Dr. Alonzo Gabriel- College of Home Economics-UP Diliman

2. Cellular and Molecular Effects of the Combined Formulations of the Sampung Halamang Gamot
by Dr. Leslie Dalmacio, College of Medicine - UP Manila


The CHED-PCARI also has an ongoing project entitled:

1. Metagenomic Contributions to Type 2 Diabetes among Filipino Populations
by Dr. Eva Maria Cutiongco- dela Paz- UP National Institutes of Health and Mark Thomas Seielstad (University of California- San Francisco)
