August 17, 2018 Dear Snow, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Aug 16, 2018 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. You asked for Programs for Prosthesis in the Philippines. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have all of the information you have requested. PCHRD funds research proposals that are aligned with the research priority topics under the National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA). NUHRA guides the health research sector on the health researches that address the most pressing health concerns of the country. NUHRA specifies the areas and topics that need to be addressed in the next five years, in line with global and national initiatives influencing the health sector. (A copy of NUHRA was sent on your registered email address) PCHRD supports research initiatives under the Global Competitiveness and Innovation in Health priority of NUHRA. One of the those is the Biomedical products and engineering - research on improvisation and local development of reliable, safe, and affordable biomedical devices for supportive and therapeutic care, for local health service provision and international markets. One of the priority topic is prosthesis.
