Hi I would like to request a copy of my ITR 2316 year 2014. I was connected with IBEX Philippines Inc. located a 8F Hanston Bldg. F. Ortigas Ave. Ortigas Center , San Antonio Pasig City 1605. I have requested from the HR but I have not received any replies from them.I am currently applying for the position of Licensed Financial
Advisor at Sun Life of Canada (Philippines),Part of the licensing and coding application for Life and VUL is to show an
Income Tax Return (ITR), which unfortunately I do not possess. Hence, Iam writing this letter.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Mar 30, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for Income Tax Return and/or BIR Form 2316.

Response to your request

This is in connection with your request for information, with reference number #BIR-123004435662, for the a copy of your BIR Form 2316 from Calendar Year 2012 to 2014.

Please be informed that your request for a copy/copies of your BIR Form No. 2316 for the Calendar Year/s 2012 to 2014 cannot be granted by the Revenue District Office (RDO) since the aforesaid BIR Withholding Tax Certificates were issued in 2012 to 2014 and records of the RDO on those periods are already unavailable since we follow strictly the four (4) year retention period based on existing revenue issuances of the BIR (Revenue Memorandum Circular 73-2008).

Hence, you may ask your previous employer/s for the copy/ies of your Certificate of Compensation Payment/ Tax Withheld (BIR Form 2316) because all taxpayers are required to preserve their accounting records for the period of 10 years in accordance with the Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 29-2019.
