Hi I would like to ask if a Multi Purpose or a Lending Cooperative is allowed to require their members to give a fee or to "contribute" to the cooperative expenses. It is in the tune of Php 20.00 per day so around 500.00 per month. This amount is non refundable even if you choose to leave / retire from the coop. On the other hand, we get to enjoy coop benefits like access to a loan fund, free food every now and then, profit sharing in coop fund raising / entrepreneurial activities, profit sharing in the loan interest, etc etc.
