Dear Jolina Layson,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Nov 22, 2022 09:55:46 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Number of Filipino in South Korea in 2022.

Response to Request

We were able to determine that this particular information is already available online as the CFO maintains a page for statistics on Filipino emigrants and spouses/partners of foreign nationals. You may retrieve your requested information from https://cfo.gov.ph/statistics-2/ or you may view the attached files below. There is an overall total of 16,993 Filipino emigrants and 19,799 Filipino spouses/partners of foreign nationals in South Korea.

Please note that the information available is only from 1989-2020. The statistics for 2021-2022 are still being processed by the Commission's Migrant Integration and Education Division. Moreover, the data specifically pertains to those Filipinos married to South Koreans and who are permanent residents in that country. These figures are not OFWs as CFO's clients are immigrants, permanent residents, and marriage migrants.
