28 December 2020 Dear Mr. Reynan Dale Esquillo, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated December 09, 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s.2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You requested information on the following for News Report (academic requirement): a.) Records on the number of children admitted to orphanages since the pandemic/lockdown started. b.) Funding and/or program for orphanages; c.) Laws or policies on orphanage funds; and d.) State of Orphanages in the Philippines amid the pandemic. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested because the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) is not a direct implementing organization. However, you may wish to contact the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
