28 December 2020 Dear Mr. Reynan Dale Esquillo, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated December 09, 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s.2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You requested information on the following for News Report (academic requirement): a.) Records on the number of children admitted to orphanages since the pandemic/lockdown started. b.) Funding and/or program for orphanages; c.) Laws or policies on orphanage funds; and d.) State of Orphanages in the Philippines amid the pandemic. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested because the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) is not a direct implementing organization. However, you may wish to contact the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Please send your request directly to Ms. Myrna Reyes, FOI Receiving Officer and Head of Records and Archives Management Division who may be able to help you at records@dswd.gov.ph Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out the an internal review of the response, by writing to Executive Director Mary Mitzi Cajayon-Uy at #10 Apo Street, Barangay Sta. Teresita, Quezon City with e-mail address cwc@cwc.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result , within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request. If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s.2011). Thank you.
