Dear Alexis Lorraine Morales,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Aug 05, 2022 03:33:42 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. Please see attached file for the PUP Socioeconomic Survey Results (as of July 1 2022). The recent PUP Socioeconomic Survey do not reflect an "Average income of student's family studying in PUP". However, the report provides a distribution of students per income category.

Results and Discussion

A total of 36,645 students out of 76,527 or 47.89% of the total target respondents from the Main Campus, Branches and Satellite Campuses answered the survey through their SIS account.

Based on the data gathered, about 66.02% of the respondents belong to a household earning P22,000 and below (low income earner). While 22.34% of the respondents belong to lower middle class (P22,001-P44,000 monthly income); and, about 10% belongs to middle class families.

Thank you.

Respectfully,

FOI Receiving Officer
