Dear Alexis Lorraine Morales,

Thank you for your request dated Aug 08, 2022 08:10:32 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Average income of family of students enrolled in PUP.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. Please see attached file for the PUP Socioeconomic Survey Results (as of July 1 2022). The recent PUP Socioeconomic Survey do not reflect an "Average income of student's family studying in PUP". However, the report provides a distribution of students per income category.

Results and Discussion

A total of 36,645 students out of 76,527 or 47.89% of the total target respondents from the Main Campus, Branches and Satellite Campuses answered the survey through their SIS account.

Based on the data gathered, about 66.02% of the respondents belong to a household earning P22,000 and below (low income earner). While 22.34% of the respondents belong to lower middle class (P22,001-P44,000 monthly income); and, about 10% belongs to middle class families.

Thank you.
