We would like to request for fecal smear images from the clinical laboratory of Philippine General Hospital (PGH). It would be used for a machine learning algorithm that detects and classifies ascaris lumbricoides.

Dear Carlos Yuan Rivera,

I refer to my letter of Mar 04, 2022 10:51:50 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Fecal Smear Image.

Part of the hospital protocol requires requestors to initially seek endorsement from the UP Manila Research and Ethics Board prior to the approval of the request.  It can be accessed online through the UPMREB website (reb.upm.edu.ph) . There are forms to be filled up and instructions are given. Moreover, researchers need to register via online to the Research Grants Administration Office (RGAO). Once you have the clearance, the PGH Expanded Hospital Research Office (EHRO) will issue a permit for your request to proceed and act upon by the appropriate department. Kindly send us the permit using the reply function on the eFOI portal at https://www.foi.gov.ph/requests/aglzfmVmb2ktcGhyHQsSB0NvbnRlbnQiEFVQTS01OTEyNDI2NTIzMzAM, for request with ticket number #UPM-591242652330, to respond.
