We would like to request for fecal smear images from the clinical laboratory of Philippine General Hospital (PGH). It would be used for a machine learning algorithm that detects and classifies ascaris lumbricoides, trichuris trichiuria, and hookworm eggs.

Dear Carlos Yuan Rivera,

I refer to my letter of Aug 21, 2022 09:14:02 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Fecal Smear Images.

Part of the hospital protocol requires requestors to initially seek endorsement from the UP Manila Research and Ethics Board prior to the approval of the request.  It can be accessed online through the UPMREB website (reb.upm.edu.ph) . There are forms to be filled up and instructions are given. Moreover, researchers need to register via online to the Research Grants Administration Office (RGAO). Once you have the clearance, the PGH Expanded Hospital Research Office (EHRO) will issue a permit for your request to proceed and act upon by the appropriate department. You may use the reply function on the eFOI portal at https://www.foi.gov.ph/requests/aglzfmVmb2ktcGhyHQsSB0NvbnRlbnQiEFVQTS02MzMzMzA4OTU3MjEM, for request with ticket number #UPM-633330895721, to respond.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Dec 01, 2022 04:34:49 AM, your request will be closed.
