Dear Aika Maloles,

I refer to my letter of Jan 07, 2023 03:41:54 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Number of Employees in PGH Cancer Institute.

In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. Since UP-PGH is under UP Manila, researches conducted in our hospital need to follow the protocols for conducting research in UP Manila.  EFOI requestors need to initially seek endorsement from the UP Manila Research and Ethics Board prior to the approval of the request.  It can be accessed online through the UPMREB website (reb.upm.edu.ph) . There are forms to be filled up and instructions are given. Subsequently, they need to register via online to the Research Grants Administration Office (RGAO). Once clearance has been obtained, the PGH Expanded Hospital Research Office (EHRO) will issue a permit for the request to proceed and to be acted upon by the concerned department.  For coordination and other inquiries pertaining to the conduct of research in PGH, the EHRO can be reached at telephone number 8554-8400 local 2064.  Its office is located on the second floor of UP PGH. Once you have the permit you may submit it to us using the reply function on the eFOI portal at http://www.foi.gov.ph/requests/aglzfmVmb2ktcGhyHQsSB0NvbnRlbnQiEFVQTS0wOTUwODExOTgzNjEM, for request with ticket number #UPM-095081198361, to respond.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Apr 04, 2023 05:21:47 AM, your request will be closed.

I refer to my letter of Jan 10, 2023 about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Number of Employees in PGH Cancer Institute. In particular, I had requested specific information for you to clarify upon in order for us to proceed with the request.

As we have not received a reply within the 60-day working period since the letter requesting for clarification was sent out, we regret to inform you that this request will be closed as of Apr 04, 2023.

You may wish to submit a new request describing the specific information you are looking for, and we will be able to consider it under the guidelines as stated in Executive Order No. 2.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to or visiting our central office. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
