May 29, 2023 Dear Leanne COlcol, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated May 22, 2023 09:01:12 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Workers Compensation in Shipping and Logistics by Selected Occupation. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, the National Wages and Productivity Commission does not have an updated monograph of the Pay Standards and Practices in Transportation and Storage Sector. Pursuant to Republic Act 6727, the current minimum wage policy mandates the National Wages and Productivity Commission thru the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards to set minimum wages by region (not occupation) to protect the vulnerable workers from undue low wages. We have compiled a list of reference links where we obtained the information for monographs done in 2014: https://psa.gov.ph/occupational-wages-survey/statistical-tables/2020 (Occupational Wage Survey, OWS) https://psa.gov.ph/occupational-wages-survey/statistical-tables/2018 (OWS) Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to NWPC Exec.
