I am Ciara Sophia T. Pandan, a 4th-year student working on our research study entitled "Business Performance of DTI assisted Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs): A Time Series Analysis. One of the sources I will be utilizing for our research is the MSME Wage Subsidy Program. With this, I would like to request the following humbly.

2. Percentage of workers beneficiaries covered from 1990 to 2022

Your request

You asked for MSME WAGE SUBSIDY PROGRAM.

Response to your request

Republic Act No. 6727 which currently governs the minimum wage policy in the Philippines mandates the setting of regional minimum wages thru the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards to afford protection to the most vulnerable workers like the unorganized, unskilled workers and new entrants. Minimum Wage is the lowest wage rate fixed by law that an employer should pay his workers -IRR-RA 6727

Anent the wage subsidies for MSMEs, we defer to DTI's inputs on the matter.
