Dear Sonny Africa,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated May 03, 2022 08:32:39 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Monthly Nominal and Real Minimum Wage Rates, 1986-2022.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved.

Dear Mr. Africa:

With reference to your request for data on wages sent through the e-FOI portal on 03 May 2022, may we provide you with the attached available Excel file of monthly nominal minimum wage rates for non-agriculture and agriculture by region for the years 2000 to 2022.

On the other hand, the computation of real minimum wage uses the formula (Nominal Minimum Wage/CPI for the Month) x 100 and is dependent on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) officially released by the Philippine Statistics Authority, which you can access through https://psa.gov.ph/price-indices/cpi-ir.

Regarding your request for the latest family living wage data, may we inform you that the generation of said data using the methodology developed by the NWPC in 1998 has been discontinued.

Thank you.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to NWPC Executive Director Maria Criselda R. Sy, 3/F DY International Building, San Marcelino corner Malvar Streets, Malate, Manila City. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).

Thank you.

Respectfully,

Pia Charmane De Jesus
