Dear Mr. Patrimonio,

 

Thank you for your request lodged at the Freedom of Information (FOI) Portal on June 1, 2020 regarding data pertaining to the practices of occupational safety and health in the public sector in the last 5 years.

 

Please be informed that the Occupational Safety and Health Center does not have data on the occupational safety and health practices of the public sector in general. The OSHC, however, conducted a study on public school teachers in 2017 entitled “Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders among Selected Elementary and Secondary Public School Teachers in Metro Manila”. Attached herewith is copy of the abstract (please see Page 21 of the 16th NOSH Congress Souvenir Program).

 

For your further reference, may we also provide you a copy of the recently issued Civil Service Commission (CSC), Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, s. 2020 regarding the “Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards for the Public Sector” CSC-DOH-DOLE JMC No. 1, s. 2020
