Hi!

I applied for DOLE-AKAP region IX last September 23, 2021. I was called through the phone and interviewed, and eventually was approved. 

While waiting for the release, I noticed that there is no update whatsoever from them. So I decided to call DOLE and OWWA and they said the same thing that "they are waiting for the budget to be released". Until I departed again and gone back overseas to my job on February 2022. Until now I haven't received any update. 

Please Help.

Dear Mr. Krist-Ian Jardeleza,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated May 06, 2023 09:55:38 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for a follow-up of your DOLE-AKAP financial assistance.

Mr. Jardaleza based on the OFW data base, OWWA Region IX processed your DOLE AKAP on 10/05/2021.  This is part of the procedure to check the qualification of OFWs to the program.  Upon qualification your documents are forwarded to DOLE Region IX for release of the financial assistance.

Be correctly informed that the DOLE-AKAP is a project of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and they are responsible in releasing the government fund intended for the purpose.

You are advised to follow up with the DOLE Region 9 or the DOLE Provincial Office.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing the OWWA- FOI Decision Makers at email: foi_dm@owwa.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date we received your review request.

However, if you are still not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
