Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Feb 04, 2023 07:47:34 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for financial assistance to complete your education.

Foremost, we commend the Filipino youth like you who prioritizes the completion of their education and find ways to make things meet.

Please be CORRECTLY informed that the programs and benefits of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) are exclusive for its OWWA members and their qualified dependents.  Unless you are a child of an active member OFW at the time you started your tertiary/ college education and have passed the qualifying examination and selection process, then you will simply have to submit your grades to the regional or satellite offices of OWWA.

If ever, try the Commission for High Education or the Department of Science and Technology for financial assistance you need to continue your schooling.  Your local government unit, particularly the provincial and city government, has funds for the education of their constituents.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing the OWWA- FOI Decision Makers at email: foi_dm@owwa.gov.ph.
