The undersigned bachelor candidates are presently enrolled in Research in Psychology 1 which requires making a research output entitled “OCCUPATIONAL STRESS IN WORKING ABROAD: ITS IMPACT ON THE SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING OF SELECTED OVERSEAS FILIPINO WORKERS” as partial fulfillment for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated May 17, 2023 09:37:21 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch on data on the number of OFWs in Brgy. Looc Calamba City, Laguna.

Ms. Guimotao we have responded to a request from your schoolmate's earlier post at the eFOI portal on May 17, 2023 at 12:33 PM.  

Foremost, thank you so much for sharing the title of your group's research study.  Let me reiterate that the Data Privacy Law prohibits sharing of information about personal information.  

OWWA strongly suggests that your group discuss closely with your Psychology 1 professor on the methodology of data collection to clarify who are your target respondents (e.g. respondent to the study are OFWs currently in the country).  

Be properly informed that all local government units (LGUs) have data on the numbers of OFW households.  Therefore, address your data requirements to the Brgy. Captain of Looc or to the Head of the Planning Office of Calamba City.  They are in the best position to provide you with the information to complete your school research undertaking.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing the OWWA- FOI Decision Makers at email: foi_dm@owwa.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date we received your review request.

However, if you are still not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
