Sir / Ma'am,

Good day.

I would like to request the number of overseas Filipino workers in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan separately during the last 5 years. If possible, can you also please include the breakdown in semi-annual bases? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and God bless.

Dear Ms. Azel Rose Cabel,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Feb 21, 2023 03:24:46 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for statistics of Overseas Filipino Workers in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan during the last 5 Years.

Ms.Cabel be correctly informed that the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is a welfare institution that provides social benefits and protection to its member-OFWs and their families.

Hence, the most appropriate government agency mandated to keep data bases for documented overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) is the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). Visit their official website at www.poea.gov.ph for details.

You may likewise seek the assistance of the Philippine Statistics Authority, the repository of data of government.
