Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jan 31, 2023 09:06:27 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for data on the number of Filipino Nurses Working overseas by country of destination.

Mr. Talosog be correctly informed.  The Overseas Worker Welfare Administration (OWWA) only keep records of its member OFWS.  It is the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) that is mandated by law to maintain a data base of the OFWs whose employment contract was processed/approved and mandatory payment of fees paid by the employer/employment agency.

It is strongly suggested that you initially visit the POEA website for familiarity of the agency's mandated functions and the OFW records they maintain.   You may also look at the Phil. Statistic Authority which is mandated by law as the repository of government statistical data.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing the OWWA- FOI Decision Makers at email: foi_dm@owwa.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date we received your review request.

However, if you are still not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
