Dear Mr. Edred Magusara,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated May 21, 2023 03:09:45 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for financial assistance to infected and affected OFW due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Magusara be properly informed that there are requirements to qualify for the financial assistance to OFWs.  Among the qualification requirements is a documentary evidence that employment was affected by the worldwide health pandemic while at the jobsite or if on vacation in the Philippines, the OFW's return to the employer with a valid OEC or employment contract and working visa from the country of work. 

It is advised the you visit the OWWA website: www.owwa.gov.ph for programs given to member- OFWs and the qualification requirements.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing the OWWA- FOI Decision Makers at email: foi_dm@owwa.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date we received your review request.

However, if you are still not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
