Dear Sir Ronald,

The disciplines include but is not limited to plant genetic resources, product development, varietal improvement, promotion, and nutrition. There are a number of underutilized indigenous crops here in PH. They are locally produced, either endemic or introduced, with a level of acceptance as food by the local community. Examples are sapinit, soursop, and chesa for fruits, and saluyot, katuray, and himbabao for vegetables.

Hope this clarifies the query.

Thank you very much.

Isa
