Dear Ms. Andrea Abella,
Thank you for your request dated 20 September 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
You requested for information on the number of reported cases of child abuse in Nueva Ecija and Palayan City.
Response to your request
The DSWD has limited data on your request, specifically the incidence of child abuse cases served by DSWD under community and center based setting, disaggregated by region, type of abuse, age and sex.
Thus, we shall partially grant your request and we shall refer your request with respect to this matter to the proper DSWD office.
It is the Department of Justice (DOJ) that may have the complete data you need. Under Executive Order (EO) 292, the DOJ is the government's principal law agency. As such, the DOJ serves as the government's prosecution arm and administers the government's criminal justice system by investigating crimes, prosecuting offenders and overseeing the correctional system. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the DOJ by submitting a request via this portal. You may also contact the PSA by telephone at (+632) 8523 8481 to 98 or via email at email@example.com.
Further, since you are asking data specific to Nueva Ecija and Palayan City, the Local Government Unit (LGU) in those areas might also have the data you are looking for. Hence, you may also wish to direct your request to the LGUs of Nueva Ecija and Palayan City.
