Hello! I would like to request for information regarding:
1. Number of Cinemas in the Philippines
2. Statistics of Preserved films from 2010-2019 
3. Number of restored films/unrestored films/Number of missing films
4. Number of audio-visual workers
5. Number of Films produced/released per year (2010-2019)
6.Economic contribution of the Film Industry (2000-2019)
7.List of equipment acquired specifically for the archive and cost per item
8. Energy consumption of archive
9. Required temperature and humidity for the archive 
10.Guidelines in preserving films

Thank you for your request dated Dec 09, 2020 09:35:55 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for film archive.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.
No. of audiovisual workers - 3,402 per record of our national registry
No. of cinemas  in the Philippines  - 132 cinemas per our record only

Your other requests pertaining to film archiving will be referred to the Philippine Film Archive Division and  they will reply directly to your email the available date they have on hand.

Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested but we have no availbale data at the moment  for total films produced per year from 2010 to 2019 and economic contribution of the film industry from 2000 to 2019 for exact figures but on the average more than 1Billion a year. 

Your right to request a review
