Good day! I would like to request information regarding the following for thesis and research purposes:

1.) Number of Distribution companies nationwide
2.) Number of Mainstream and Indie Films produced each year (any data available from 20th century to present)
3.) Economic contribution of the Film Industry (2000-2018)
4.) Total box office of years 2000-2018
4.1) Average box office per year
4.2) Year with lowest box office
4.3) Year with highest box office
5.) Number of Cinemas in the Philippines and Metro Manila
6.) Number of films restored so far

You asked for Film statistics / data.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of  some of the information you requested.

  number of cinemas in NCR - 76 with 427 screens
number of cinemas in the province - 56 
 number of films restored
 2017 - 1 film 
 2018 - 1 film
 2019- 9 films
Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested for as  some of your questions can be answered through other websites.
