September 5, 2017 Dear Neem Danielle Cahoy, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Aug 24, 2017 02:34:12 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Prevalence of malnutrition among children below 5 years old in NCR cities. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. The 2015 Updating of Nutritional Status of Filipino Children and Other Pupulation Groups (2015 Updating Survey) utilized the 2003 Master Sample (MS) of the Philippine Statistics Authority formerly the National Statistics Office as its sampling design. Estimates generated using this design is reliable at the national and regional levels. If the sample size is sufficient enough, MS permits estimation at the province or district level as in the case of NCR. Cities in the NCR are grouped into 4 districts namely District I (Manila), District II (Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pasig, Quezon City and San Juan), District III (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela), and District IV (Las Pinas, Makati, Muntinlupa, Paranaque, Pasay, Pateros, Taguig). All estimates are provided with measures of reliability (standard error, 95% confidence interval and coefficient of variation). For further assistance you may review the FAQ section of the eFOI site: https://www.foi.gov.ph/help. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Secretary Fortunato T. De La Pena at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request. If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011). Thank you. Respectfully, Dr. Ferdinand Oamar FOI Officer
