Hello! Thank you always for the hard work that PIDS does. I'm writing to request for  the shapefiles and other tabular data (map files) associated with the PIDS GIS site (https://gis.pids.gov.ph). I am a Filipino graduate student at the University of Notre Dame in the US. I am doing a project that involves mapping certain demographic factors and trying to find a correlation with these to the prevalence of crime. I know I can download a copy of the map in picture form, but I would like to use the shapefiles for a project.  I know I gave a large range, but the latest data is enough!

•	Shapefiles and other tabular data (map files) associated with the PIDS GIS site (https://gis.pids.gov.ph).

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, this Office does not produce the shapefiles you have requested. PIDS makes use of administrative data and maps from other agencies for its research studies. You may want to look at the PIDS Economic and Social Database (https://econdb.pids.gov.ph/) to download various economic data and social statistics. As for the shapefiles, kindly request them directly from the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (https://www.namria.gov.ph/).

Your right to request a review
