Dear Sir / Madam :

Here is a letter of my formal request

December 1, 2020

The Director
Department of Education

Dear Sir / Madam,

This is to formally request the following data to your agency.

1. List and addresses of private schools in Jaro, Iloilo offering Elementary, Junior High School and Senior High School
2. Enrollment Statistics of each private school from A.Y. 2018-2019 to present
3. Overall private enrollment statistics in the entire Iloilo region: Elementary, Junior High School, Senior High School

I need the said data in response to a market study I'm conducting. The abstract of the market study is provided below.

A Market Exploratory Study of Basic Education Schools in Jaro Iloilo

Declining enrollment among private academic institutions has been a struggle of schools in NCR and among other regions. Economic related concerns are always, the initial driver of this unfavourable phenomenon. While this has been the situation in the last five to ten years, the global pandemic has further, aggravated this problem.

A number of private schools declared closure on the next academic years. Angelicum Iloilo, one of the oldest Dominican owned institutions almost ended as another casualty. But with the help of the Dominican Province and other sister schools, it has continued its operations. The newly appointed management is committed in reviving the school, taking advantage of the new face of learning. Through online learning mechanisms, the school hopes to expand its market in the next years. Hence, this market exploration study was conceived.

This study aims to provide inputs as to the real situation among private schools in Jaro Iloilo. It aims to provide a geographic mapping, identify market leaders and a concrete clustering of schools serving different economic classes. This will be anchored on the current socio demographic profile of the residents in Jaro Iloilo.

Results of the study aim to provide the management a better view of the private academic institution competition in the area. Such information can later provide the management better inputs for strategic planning and the possibility of revamping the entire program offering.

I hope the information I provided suffices. Should there be other documents I needed to submit, I would appreciate to be informed.

Thank you for the fast response.

Sincerely,

DIANE FRANCISCO
