August 17, 2022 Dear Phoebe, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Aug 14, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE. Response to your request Kindly refer to Section 28 of DepEd Order No. 88, s. 2010 dated June 24, 2010 (https://www.deped.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/DO-No.-88-s.-2010.pdf), otherwise known as the 2010 Revised Manual of Regulations for Private Schools in Basic Education (p. 67):” Section 128. Withholding of Credentials. The release of the transfer credentials of any pupil or student may be withheld for reasons of suspension, expulsion, or nonpayment of financial obligations or property responsibility of the pupil or student to the school. The credentials shall be released as soon as his obligation shall have been settled or the penalty of suspension or expulsion is lifted. However, you have the right to discuss your concern with the teachers, school principal, school administrators, or officials for clarification. If this is not settled, you may contact the Schools Division Office (SDO) near your area.
